Doing it for Gatorade..

"I am deeply sorry."

Tiger Woods. Before last November, those two words when conjoined made the name of most iconic and awe inspiring athlete that the PGA and the sports realm could ask for. An african-american man that had taken over what used to be a white male sport only. Saturday mornings were met by ESPN coverage on where Tiger was in the standings, and followed by amazing shots that never have and I am certain never will be duplicated. Tiger created moments that made every person watching him, give the symbolic upward jolting fist pump followed by shouts of cheer. Children everywhere wanted to play golf now, and popularity for the sport in whole was growing in never before seen numbers. One man's popularity become apparent by an increasing number of people at driving ranges, and a spike in sales for stores selling Nike Golf apparel and equipment. We bought his sports drinks, we bought the tickets to see him, and most importantly of all we bought Tiger.

In a way we all paid Tiger for the entertainment he brought us. The tickets to PGA events, drinking Gatorade, and using Nike all paid Tiger for his hard work and dedication to bring fans enjoyment. But, does Tiger owe me an apology? Absolutley not! He hasn't affected my life personally and I'm still living and breathing just as I did before. Well, I may not be inclined to buy another EA Sports golf video game, my life is unchanged and will go on. His words were in a way misguided and misunderstood by many in my opinion. This was purely an attempt to regain support with his sponsors. The sponsors needed Tiger to be sorry, they need people to love him for what he used to be and what he can once again be. They were wronged and many lost millions of dollars without the use of his name. So as I expected his apology and will take it for what it is, he wasnt speaking to me. He was speaking to his family most importatly but also to his sponsors. But thanks Tiger. Thank you for starting over again and coming back to the sport. I have missed fist pumping to incredible shots, and missed actually watching PGA.

However, your only doing it for Gatorade...

Common Sense!

"Common sense told us that when you put a big tax on something, that people will produce less of it. So, we cut the people's tax rates, and the people produced more then ever before. The economy bloomed like a plant that could be cut back and could now grow quicker and stronger." -Ronald Reagan

History has proven itself time and time again. Civilzations have come and gone and one would assume that America will follow down a similiar path. It does not have to though. You see, we started different. We were given guidelines, a set of ideals that were laid before us to help later generations succeed. However, like instructions that come in the box of your new favorite gadget, they have been tossed aside. They can help you, teach you, and get the gadget perform better but self intuitioin takes over. Well, America has tossed aside the manual. The Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and every other important document has been tossed aside by the current administration.

It's time for change though. It's time to come back to the manuals and figure out why America isn't running the way things should be. It starts with one crucial step, taking our worries to the polls in November. If we could take seats away from those who have tossed aside the ideas that have worked in the past, and fill them with those Americans that care more about the people then money and polls. Then, and only then we will see what great Americans in the past wanted for us. That tax cuts DO infact work, that smaller government is the only way to succeed, and that rights belong to the people. Something so simple however, is yet so hard to obtain.

Thank you for reading my first blog post and I will expand on these ideas in a later time. The future belongs to my peers and I. If America can't change with its already elected officials then me, and those like me will change it.

But thats it for now, to God be the glory, and shall conservatism prevail..
